Alfred Choubrac (1853–1902) was a French painter, illustrator, draughtsman, poster artist, and costume designer. Working in Paris during the Belle Époque, he is recognized for his contributions to the modern coloured and illustrated poster. Alongside Jules Chéret, Choubrac helped establish the visual language of this new artistic medium in France.
Choubrac's artistic practice focused on the creation of dynamic posters that captured the spirit of the era. His designs, such as "Cycles Decauvilles" (1895) and "Casino de Paris / The Américan Biograph 1897" (1897), demonstrate his command of graphic composition and color. He applied his skills to various commissions, including advertisements for theatre and commercial products.
