Angelo von Courten (1848–1925) was a German painter of Swiss origin. Born in Bologna on January 10, 1848, he served as a soldier in the Papal Army from 1867 to 1870. Following his military service, he commenced art studies in Munich in 1870. He established himself as a portrait painter, working in Munich until his death on December 15, 1925.
