Collection: Bertold Löffler

Bertold Löffler (1874–1960) was an Austrian painter, printmaker, and designer. Born in Liberec, he later died in Vienna. His diverse practice included graphic arts, decorative design, and fresco painting. He also worked as a ceramist, medalist, and teacher, reflecting a broad engagement with applied arts and fine art.

Löffler's artistic output spanned various media, including graphic design for official documents and commemorative events, such as his Design for a document for presentation to a mayor of Karlsbad (c. 1907) and Grandes Fetes Jubilé de l'Empereur (1908). He also created decorative designs, exemplified by Fläche, dekorative Entwürfe (1905). His work in painting was recognized through his participation in the art competition at the 1936 Summer Olympics.
