Charles Blomfield

Charles Blomfield (1848 1926) was an English-born artist. He primarily executed paintings depicting the landscapes of New Zealand.

Blomfield's oeuvre included numerous depictions of the Pink and White Terraces, a significant natural feature in New Zealand. This geological formation, a recurring subject in his work, was subsequently destroyed during the 1886 eruption of Mount Tarawera.
