Franz Karl Eduard von Gebhardt (1838 –1925) was a Baltic German painter and professor at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Born in Järva-Jaani Parish, Estonia, he later died in Düsseldorf, Germany. Gebhardt was a significant figure in portrait and historical painting within the Düsseldorf School.

Gebhardt specialized in historical scenes and portraiture, aligning with the historicist approach prevalent in the Düsseldorf School. As a professor at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, he contributed to the academic tradition of art education, shaping subsequent generations of artists.
