Eduard Julius Friedrich Bendemann (1811–1889) was a German painter and a significant representative of the Düsseldorf School, specializing in portraiture and history painting. He also held academic positions, teaching at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts and later directing the Düsseldorf Academy of Art.
