Elena Popea (1879–1941) was an Austro-Hungarian-born Romanian painter. Born in Brașov and dying in Bucharest, she developed a modernist style. Her work integrated elements from various contemporary artistic currents, including Impressionism, Expressionism, and Cubism, reflecting a synthesis of these influences in her practice.

Popea's artistic output frequently depicted landscapes, capturing natural environments with a modernist sensibility. She also produced floral still-lifes, exploring color and form through botanical subjects. Additionally, her oeuvre included scenes of people engaged in work or attending social events, offering observations of daily life.
