Collection: Enrico Lionne

Enrico Lionne, born Enrico Della Leonessa in Naples in 1865, was an Italian painter and graphic artist. He died in his native Naples in 1921. Lionne trained and was active for many years in Rome, where he developed his practice within a Divisionist style.

Lionne's artistic output included painting and graphic work, with a particular engagement in caricature. His adoption of a Divisionist style is a defining characteristic of his oeuvre. Examples of his graphic work include caricatures of Enrico Caruso from 1906 and 1909, demonstrating his skill as an illustrator.
