Collection: Erich Wichmann

Erich Wichmann (1890–1929) was a Dutch painter, graphic artist, and writer. Born in Utrecht and dying in Amsterdam, he was also active as a bohemian and, later in his career, a fascist journalist.

Wichmann's artistic output included figural studies and portraits. Works such as Franzi Reclining (1910) and Seated Female Nude (1914) exemplify his engagement with the human form. He also produced graphic works like Hockende (1914) and Junge Arbeiter (1925), indicating an interest in both individual and social subjects.
