Collection: Frank Duveneck

Frank Duveneck (born Decker) was an American painter, etcher, and sculptor. Born in Covington, Kentucky, on October 9, 1848, he died on January 3, 1919, in Cincinnati. While working in a realistic style, his later oeuvre became associated with Impressionism.

Duveneck's artistic output includes numerous figure and portrait paintings. He also produced a series of Venetian cityscapes and architectural views, such as The Bridge of Sighs (1883), Palazzo Ca D'Oro, Venice (1883), and View of the Grand Canal (1883). These works demonstrate his engagement with urban landscapes.
