Collection: Frederick Arthur Bridgman

Frederick Arthur Bridgman was an American painter born in Tuskegee, Alabama, in 1847. He spent most of his life in France, where he died in Rouen in 1928. During his studies in France, he worked in Brittany and is associated with the Pont-Aven School.

Bridgman specialized in Orientalist subjects, depicting scenes from North Africa. He was also a draftsman, graphic artist, musician, and writer.
