Gustav Kampmann

Gustav Kampmann (1859–1917) was a German painter, etcher, and lithographer. Born in Boppard, he established his artistic career as a representative of the Karlsruhe Landscape School. Kampmann was also a member of the Grötzingen Artists' Colony, where he further developed his focus on landscape subjects and graphic arts.

Kampmann's oeuvre primarily consisted of landscape subjects, often capturing specific atmospheric conditions. Works such as Abendrothe (1896), Herbstabend (1905), and Pappeln im Sturm (c.1910) exemplify his engagement with natural scenery through painting and graphic techniques.
