Collection: Henriette Gudin

Henriette Gudin (1825–1892) was a French marine painter, born in Paris. She specialized in seascapes and coastal views throughout her career, often working under her married name, Henriette Fauchier.

Gudin's oeuvre primarily consisted of marine subjects, depicting both tranquil coastlines and dramatic maritime events. Works such as A Storm at Sea (1827) exemplify her engagement with dynamic natural forces, while Mountainous View in Algeria (ca. 1840s) and Le Camp de Staouéli (ca. 1840s) indicate her portrayal of specific geographical locales.
