Joseph Binder (1805-1863) was an Austrian painter active in the mid-19th century. Born in Vienna on February 15, 1805, he dedicated his practice to portraiture, history painting, and religious subjects. While 1805 is frequently cited, other sources indicate his birth year as 1798 or 1803. He died in Kaltenleutgeben on April 16, 1863.
