Ludwik Stasiak (1858
–1924) was a Polish painter, art historian, and publisher. Born in Bochnia and dying in Krakau, he also worked as a cartoonist, journalist, and writer. His artistic output encompassed a wide variety of genres, reflecting a diverse professional engagement.
Stasiak's paintings frequently depicted the beauty of rural landscapes, daily village life, and folk rituals. His oeuvre included genre scenes, historical and religious subjects, landscapes, allegories, and portraits. He also provided illustrations for popular magazines such as Bluszcz, Kłosy, and Tygodnik Illustrowany.
Beyond his visual art, Stasiak authored popular historical novels and publicist-scientific treatises. He was associated with the "chłopomania" movement, alongside artists like Włodzimierz Tetmajer and Wincenty Wodzinowski, who focused on rural themes and peasant life.
