Collection: Maximilian Lenz

Maximilian Lenz (1860–1948) was an Austrian painter, graphic artist, and sculptor. Born and deceased in Vienna, he was a founding member of the Vienna Secession. Lenz primarily worked as a Symbolist during the most important period of his career.

He explored various media, including oils, watercolours, lithography, and metal reliefs. While his central career was defined by Symbolism, his later work evolved towards an increasingly naturalistic approach.
