Paul Wilhelm Keller-Reutlingen

Paul Wilhelm Keller-Reutlingen was born on 2 February 1854 in Reutlingen, Germany. He trained as a landscape and genre painter in the late 19th-century German artistic milieu, adopting the suffix 'Reutlingen' to distinguish himself from other artists with the same surname.

Keller-Reutlingen painted German landscapes and scenes of daily life, often employing a naturalistic style with attention to seasonal atmospheres. His work includes the series "Rudolstädter Steinbaukasten" (1897-1910), a set of instructional lithographs for architectural drawing. He also designed commercial illustrations, such as the 1891 men's clothing advertisements for Schloss Bros & Co.
