Santiago Rusiñol

Santiago Rusiñol i Prats was a Spanish painter, poet, journalist, collector and playwright. He was one of the leaders of the Catalan modernisme movement. He created more than a thousand paintings and wrote numerous works in Spanish and Catalan.

Among his canonical works are L'auca del senyor Esteve, L'hèroe, L'alegria que passa, and Cour d'orangers. His oeuvre falls under Art Nouveau.
