Collection: Vicente Nicolau Cotanda

Vicente Nicolau Cotanda (1852–1898) was a Spanish painter born in Sagunt. He worked primarily as a history painter and genre painter. Cotanda gained artistic recognition in 1880, earning a silver medal for his works La aguja de marear and Flor preferida at exhibitions organized by the recreational group El iris. He later settled in Buenos Aires in 1889, where he died.
