Collection: Vilhelm Lundstrom

Vilhelm Lundstrøm (1893–1950) was a Danish painter born in Copenhagen. He was instrumental in early Danish experimental art, notably introducing French Cubism to Denmark. His work is associated with the broader Modernist movement.

Lundstrøm's artistic practice engaged with Cubist principles. He applied these to his subjects, which frequently included still lifes, often depicting oranges, and cubist nudes. He explored formal abstraction and geometric simplification in these compositions.
