Collection: Caesar van Everdingen

Caesar van Everdingen (1616 –1678) was a Dutch painter active during the Baroque period, specifically within the Dutch Golden Age. He specialized in portraiture and history painting. He was the older brother of fellow painters Allart van Everdingen and Jan van Everdingen.

Van Everdingen's work aligns with the Academicist group in Haarlem and represents Dutch Classicism. He executed both portraits and historical scenes, demonstrating a precise and often polished style. Beyond painting, he also worked as an etcher.
