Collection: Martin Brandenburg
Martin Brandenburg (1870–1919) was a German painter, draftsman, and graphic artist. Born in Posen, he later died in Stuttgart. Brandenburg's practice engaged with both Impressionism and Symbolism, and he was a member of the Berlin Secession, an important artistic association of his time.
Brandenburg's artistic output primarily focused on landscapes, which he imbued with fantastical figures and fairytale motifs. This approach allowed him to explore imaginative narratives within the natural world, setting his work apart within the broader Impressionist and Symbolist currents.
